Title:	LZmE_050209 - Lower Kafue Gorge, Kafue River, E Zambia
Caption:	The Avumba Menda Falls on the Kafue River, in the beautiful Lower Kafue Gorge. This waterfall and adjacent stretches of the Kafue River are now being changed forever - due to this being the site of a major hydro electricity generation project, which will effectively destroy the Avumba Menda Falls and radically affect the local environment and the people who live off it. This and the previous photo were made on an urgent trip to try to record this landscape just prior to the start of the project and before its environmental effects took hold.
